Yvette Thomas and Stonewall Allen Washington were united in marriage at 2:00 p.m. on March 29, 2008, at Agape State Temple Church of God in Christ Church in Lubbock, Texas. A reception followed at the church.
Yvette is the daughter of Freddie and Ella Webb of Lubbock, Texas. Stonewall is the son of Johnny and Elizabeth Jefferson of Lubbock, Texas. Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. James Bibbs and Mrs. Mary McCullough.
Mrs. Cynthia Hatcher served as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Ms. Jacqueine Bibbs, Ms. Dorothy McCullough, and Mrs. Beverly Williams.
Mr. Paul Jefferson served as Best Man and Reverend Alfred James Washington, brother of the groom, officiated the ceremony of vows. Groomsmen were Wayne Simms, Marvin Earl Washington, and Irving Ray Washington.
The Bibbs Sisters - Ella Webb, Lavern Bibbs, Erma Beard, Doris Collins, Dorothy Collins and Wanda Johnson - performed the special music selections during the ceremony. Additional music and song were performed by Anthony Beard, and Daryl and Legena Collins.
Instrumentalists were Deshawn Collins, Eddie Tate and Darren Mann. The Flower girl was Miss Beyonce McCullough and Ringbearers were Master Jaylon Anthony Thomas and Master Caleb McCullough.
Stonewall and Yvette fell in love for the first time over 20 years ago. Their destiny in Christ and undying love for each other has reunited them once again. Time and circumstances has only strengthened their love for each other. Together they anticipate the greatness that God has for them and their future.
