Culwell-Smith Wedding

Nicole Culwell, daughter of Gary and Joanna Culwell of Sweetwater, and Jory Smith, son of Patti Smith of Abilene were married at 3 PM on September 20, 2008, at the home of the bride's aunt and uncle, Julie and Gordon Beene. Nicole is also the daughter of the late Kris Culwell. Jory is the son of the late Clay Smith. Officiant was Rev. Bill Wright of First Baptist Church in Plains, Texas.

Nicole's grandparents are Vaughn and Carolyn Culwell of Lubbock. Her great grandparents are Inez Culwell of Lubbock and J.O. Adams of Oklahoma. Jory's grandparents are Weldon and Sharon Foust of Victoria.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father, Gary Culwell and grandfather, Vaughn Culwell.

The setting of the wedding and reception was in the pool area.

Desiraye Broome, long time friend of the bride served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were her sister, Michelle Truelock, her cousin, Tiffani Beene, the groom's sister, Kaci Joiner, and long time friend, Skylar Keesee.

The groom was attended by long time friend, Channing Hanzel as Best Man. Groomsmen were Tanner Smith, brother, and friends Dustin Bennett, Rodney Keleman and Patrick Watson.

Bailey Balliew, niece of the bride, was Flower Girl, and nephews, Landon and Preston Truelock, served as Ring Bearers.

Soloist was Moriah Potter and pianist was Stacie Alldredge, both friends of the bride. Long time friend, Kendra Kerley registered the guests.

Ushers were Brett Culwell, brother of the bride; Taylor Beene, the bride's cousin; and Jordan Jones, friend of the couple.

Wedding cake (chocolate covered cheesecake), fruit and puch were served to the guests. Members of the House Party were Maria Low, Mary Ann Loveless, Frankie Walker, Martha Palmer, and Zanna Traweek.

The couple will be at home in Sweetwater after a short honeymoon.
