Carla was born January 24, 1961 in Amherst, Texas to Waylon and Helen Fields. She grew up and attended school in Plainview. At the time of her death she resided in Granbury, Texas. She was a faithful member of Stonewater Church in Granbury.

She is survived by sons Jason Martinez of Plainview, Juston Martinez of Amarillo; three grandchildren Victoria (Tori), Isaiah and Gage; her mother Helen (Bobby) Edwards of Sudan; brother, Micheal (Jeni) Fields of Lubbock; step-brother Pete (Mechele) Edwards of Sudan; step-sisters Linda (Richard) Jackson of Tow, Tx, Debra (Eugene) Lopez of Sudan. Carla had many friends and touched many lives as she loved helping others through her church, her neighbors and friends. We will miss Carla, the "Nana", mom, daughter, sister and friend. But we know that she is in Heaven with Jesus whom she loved very much.

The family suggests memorials be made to Sunset Avenue Baptist Church, 801 N. Sunset, Littlefield, Texas.
