Funeral Mass for Isabel Segura Alvarez, 59, of Lubbock were celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, June 30, 2006 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, with Monsignor Curtis Hoffman officiating. Rosary Services were at 7 p.m., Thursday, June 29, 2006, at Sanders Memorial Chapel. Burial followed at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

Isabel was born April 8, 1947 in Lubbock . She married Julian Alvarez, Sr. on Oct. 4, 1963. She was a secretary for Community Health Outreach and was a volunteer for Hospice of Lubbock. Isabel was a longtime member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Elvira Segura; a brother, Frank Segura and two daughters, Nancy and Teresa.

She is survived by her husband, Julian Alvarez, Sr.; 2 sons, Julian, Jr. and Sammy, both of Lubbock ; 1 daughter, Janette Alvarez of Lubbock ; 1 sister, Adela Brito of Lubbock ; 1 brother, Juan Segura of Lubbock ; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
